Yup, it’s exactly what it sounds like. The famed jacket worn by Michael Jackson in the music video for “Thriller” is hitting the auction block, according to Luxuo, with an estimated value of $ 400,000. We’d expect no less from the coat that launch a thousand ill-advised mall-shopping ensembles.
Chanel has worked with some of the most beautiful models, actresses, and singers of the past century: from Marilyn Monroe to Catherine Deneuve to Keira Knightley to Blake Lively — the iconic French fashion house never lets us down. There are almost too many to keep track of, so we were thrilled when we unearthed these Claudia Schiffer Chanel ads from the 1990s — when Karl Lagerfeld first took a liking to the Bridget Bardot look-a-like. Schiffer, who was at the height of her fame at the time, embodies the glamour of the early 90’s with her big hair, fit figure, and pouty lips. These ads are killer, though obviously not as iconic as Marilyn’s flawless No. 5 shot, but still worth looking at, even just to take a trip down the plaid-friendly memory lane of the early 90’s.
There’s nothing a popstar loves more than cramming as many costume changes as possible into a single concert. Katy Perry has just upped the ante on that by managing to squeeze no less than eight changes into one rendition of “Hot N Cold” — a feat she claims is an actual magic trick.
In an interview in last week’s Entertainment Weekly, Perry tells tour opener Robyn about the series of changes, rebuffing her accusation that it’s just a bunch of removable layers.
“I change a few times…15. But eight of those are in one song because it’s a magic trick… It’s an actual magic trick. I saw these two magicians do it on America’s Got Talent or one of those shows and I thought, ‘I’ll have them teach me the trick and I’ll incorporate it into the show.’ I had to sign a non-disclosure agreement saying that I wouldn’t give away the secrets behind the magic trick.”
We’ve got video of the performance below and you can count ‘em, all eight are there. That said, we can’t help but think Robyn was right. It looks like Katy’s just wearing a really big dress to start and de/re-layering from there. At one point (around 2:45) you can actually see the dress Katy previously had on peek out from under the new one. The final costume change is the coolest, by far, though we’re pretty sure it’s just a question of undoing some snaps and letting the dress unfold. What do you think?
Ok, so that’s not quite fair. Comparing Kate Middleton’s wedding dress to the (now) Duchess of Cambridge’s black tie gown is kind of like comparing a one of a kind exotic apple to an everyday, but super special orange. Either way though, the sparkling, blush colored Jenny Packham creation the Duchess / Princess / Whatever We’re Supposed To Call Her These Days wore on Thursday night is absolutely breathtaking.
More photos to come, obviously, but we’re head over heels for this gown. And in the meantime: do you agree?

Are you sitting down? You need to sit down. And take a deep breath. Because Lady Gaga met Karl Lagerfeld. And it was on television.
They appeared on French talk show Le Grand Journal together, and…and…and…it’s basically like watching two fascinating aliens on Earth on camera. Or something equally as mind exploding and amazing. Karl whips out his WHITE GOLD iPad (which, by the way, is beautiful) to take a picture of a bra-clad Gaga. She also happens to be wearing gold Chanel earrings. Seeing them interact is fully and totally bizarre. And wonderful.
Good news for men who have always dreamed of being able to hot-glue sequins to their private parts: from the creators of the Vajazzle now comes the Pejazzle .

To celebrate the wrap of Glee ’s second season, Dianna Agron did the unthinkable: she chopped off her pretty blonde locks! Well, it actually looks awesome (though she would be gorgeous without any hair at all). And yes, we have pictures! And video! Agron posted a cute clip of the haircutting process (“I’m so happy!” she squeals) to her Tumblr , and her friend photog Tyler Shields was there to capture the transformation — “a remedy to a seven-year itch”, she explains.
