“He’s lucky I didn’t sucker punch him,” Smith is heard telling someone else soon afterward, though he responds very well from the saliva-based attack and is quickly seen below laughing about it.

The controversial new biography of President Barack Obama claims that his wife, Michelle Obama, planned to leave the future president in 2000.

Is the divorce story real? Is anything in the book?

The unauthorized biography, which Klein claims is based on nearly 200 interviews, has been dismissed by presidential spokesperson Eric Schultz.

“Ed Klein has a proven history of reckless fabrication in order to sell books,” he said. “Nobody in their right mind would believe the nonsense in this one.”

Nevertheless, the Obama divorce story is the latest revelation in the book – which also discusses his ex Genevieve Cook – to generate major buzz.

In The Amateur: Barack Obama in the White House, out this week, Klein claims the divorce nearly happened eight years into the Obamas’ marriage.

After Obama failed to listen to his wife’s warnings in challenging Bobby Rush for his U.S. House seat in 2000 and got creamed, their relationship cooled.

“During the dark days that followed his defeat, he turned to Michelle for comfort. But she was in no mood for sympathy,” Klein reportedly writes.

“He had refused to listen to her warnings about taking on Rush.”

The primary left them in debt and Barack depressed, Klein claims. “Michelle actually had divorce papers drawn up,” he writes, citing one of her friends.

“Obama was so depressed that some of his friends worried that he was suicidal,” the book adds, without elaboration on that particular point.

Obama, of course, was still in the Illinois State Senate, and went on to win a U.S. Senate seat in 2004 that helped establish his national credentials.

But Michelle almost vetoed the Senate race, too.

Northwestern University professor Steven Rogers told Klein that Obama talked about his ambition after they met at a golf fund-raiser.

“My wife will not allow me to run for the Senate until I clear up the debts from my unsuccessful run for Congress,” Obama said, according to Rogers.

A manhunt is underway nationally for fugitive Arnoldo Jimenez, the man charged with the murder of his bride, Estrella Carrera, in Chicago, Ill.

The FBI issued a federal warrant for Arnoldo Jimenez, the Chicago Tribune reports.

“The warrant was issued on the fact that Jimenez will or has fled the boundaries of the State of Illinois,” Burbank police said in a news release.

Carrera was stabbed to death in her bathtub last weekend, still wearing her wedding dress. Jimenez has been charged with first-degree murder.

The federal warrant reveals more clues about what happened to Carrera.

“On May 13, 2012, Jimenez spoke with his sister by telephone, telling her he and Carrera had a bad fight and he left her bleeding,” according to the warrant.

A “close associate” of Jimenez also told authorities that Jimenez said “he was leaving the state of Illinois and if questioned by law enforcement, the associate should tell law enforcement he went to Mexico.”

Burbank Police Capt. Joe Ford told the Tribune that authorities have received more than 300 tips regarding the case, most of which have been car sightings. Jimenez was last seen driving a black Maserati sedan.��

Jimenez is the father of Carrera’s 2-year-old son. Estrella Carrera, the slain bride, also had a 9-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.

The AP reported earlier this week that authorities encouraged Jiminez to “turn himself in for the sake of his family and especially his children.”

Mary Kennedy, who committed suicide by hanging herself this week, battled depression for years, her estranged husband Robert F. Kennedy Jr. says.

“A lot of times, I don’t know how she made it through the day,” Robert tells The New York Times. “She was in a lot of agony for a lot of her life.”

The son of Robert F. Kennedy, Sr., adds: “I don’t think anybody who was around her didn’t do everything that they could to try to help her.”

Robert filed for divorce from Mary in 2010 after 16 years of marriage.

They were separated but still legally married, and have four children.

Authorities found Mary Kennedy dead Wednesday in the garage of her Mount Kisco, N.Y., home. The suspected cause of death is asphyxiation by hanging.

Mary’s family, meanwhile, has issued a statement.

They criticized “certain news organizations” for portraying her in a way that is “wholly inconsistent with the sister we knew and life she, in fact, lived.”

“We loved Mary and knew her to be an exceptional mother, sibling and friend to many,” says the statement. “Countless people have described her as an extraordinary mother, selfless in her desire to help others, and one of the finest people in the world.”

A private memorial service was set for New York City.

The talented crooner takes it very well and even brings his mom on stage as he sings farewell via “Man’s Man’s Man’s World.”

This leaves Jessica Sanchez, likely the best voice of the season, and Phillip Phillips, the obligatory cute-white-guy-with-a-guitar-who-wins-every-season, to square off on next week’s finale.

Is the gluten-free girl going to wither away before our eyes?

Leaving the Delano Hotel in Miami Beach Wednesday, Miley Cyrus sported a slim gray mini dress, putting her shrinking figure on full display.

Later, she rocked a tube top and some shorts that barely covered what little of her there is left. Both outfits have sparked some concern …

In April, the last time Miley Cyrus anorexic rumors popped up, she explained on Twitter that her noticeable weight loss wasn’t from battling an eating disorder.

“For everyone calling me anorexic, I have a gluten and lactose allergy,” she said. “It’s not about weight – it’s about health. Gluten is crap anyway!”

The 19-year-old then added, “Everyone should try no gluten for a week! The change in your skin, physical and mental health is amazing. You won’t go back!”

Even if that’s true, to a point, people can go overboard, as some say Miley has done with whatever’s caused her to appear so gaunt of late.

Donna Summer died this morning after a battle with cancer. She was 63.

The singer was in Florida at the time of her death, according to reports.

Known as the Queen of Disco, Donna Summer was said to be trying to keep the extent of her illness under wraps. Just a few weeks ago, people close to her say she was focused on trying to finish up an album she had been working on.

Summer was a five-time Grammy winner who rose to fame with hits – “Last Dance,” “Hot Stuff” and “Bad Girls” – that were synonymous with the 1970s.

Donna and her producer Giorgio Moroder defined the dance music era of the ’70s, influencing acts like Duran Duran, David Bowie and many others.

Summer married Brooklyn Dreams singer Bruce Sudano in 1980. The couple had two daughters together. R.I.P. to one of the greats.
