Beyonce gave birth to a beautiful baby girl yesterday.

Seriously, it happened. This isn’t just a Twitter rumor.

Ivy Blue Carter was born in New York City via c-section.

Proud dad Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, was at the hospital where Beyonce gave birth to Ivy. Shortly thereafter, congratulations came pouring in.

Rihanna Tweeted, “Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih.” Russell Simmons wrote simply, “Congrats to my good friends Beyonce and Jay-Z.”

Beyonce famously announced her pregnancy on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards back in August, and since then, fan anticipation for the baby has grown by the day.

SO much so that Twitter even tried to name the baby girl Tiana May Carter last month. We think they picked out a nicer name themselves in Ivy Blue. Agree?

NOTE: Conflicting reports, including from MSNBC and E!, say the name is actually Blue Ivy Carter. The couple’s going to have to clear this up at some point!

Either way, congratulations to the happy family!!

The pregnant Jessica Simpson has just signed a deal worth $ 3 million to be a spokeswoman for Weight Watchers, according to a report from the New York Post.

Her weight has been scrutinized in recent years (see fat Jessica Simpson pictures), but now that she’s eating for two, she’s turning a negative into a positive.

She reportedly fielded several offers from a number of celebrities weight loss companies before settling with the Double-Dubs for a staggering sum of money.

A source told the Post, confirming earlier reports, “The deal is in place, and after having her baby, she’ll start with Weight Watchers to lose her baby weight.”

Rumors about the contract began last month, with reports saying that the company wanted to help her get back to her famous Dukes of Hazzard physique.

The brand wants her to use their famous points system to emulate another celebrity spokeswoman, Jennifer Hudson, to “lose a significant amount of weight.”

Simpson plans to wed her fiance Eric Johnson after having the baby, which could be another motivation for the former singer and actress to drop weight.

She is expecting a boy or a girl BTW. Crazy.

Stacy Francis was eliminated from The X Factor tonight. But that wasn’t the story.

Due to a polarizing performance that was anything but rock ‘n roll, young Astro (aka Brian Bradley) also found himself in the bottom two – and after being informed of this news, he initially refused to perform for the judges!

The petulant child needed to be told by mentor L.A. Reid that he needed to sing/rap for his X Factor life before he actually did so… and then he proceeded to sulk his way through a rendition of “Never Say Goodbye.”

Still, because this now creates buzz and much-needed drama for a show still struggling in the ratings, the judges voted to send Francis home and keep Astro around. Simon Cowell did give him a nice scolding at least. It was disgraceful all around.

Justin Bieber swears he’s never met 20-year-old Mariah Yeater, the chick who says he put a baby inside her after 30 seconds of unprotected ecstasy last October.

He could be ordered by a judge to take a DNA test to prove he’s not the father of her child, which she claims in a paternity suit filed Monday in San Diego, Calif.

Bieber is required to file a response to the lawsuit before a December 15 hearing, which will likely hinge on how credible a judge feels Mariah Yeater‘s story is.

The judge has to weigh two things: Bieber’s right to privacy versus the child’s right to know who the father is, according to experts, and “Unless the judge thinks the woman made everything up, the court will likely order the test.”

Even if the Bieb never hit that, a DNA test may be the only way to prove it.

As we said, Bieber denied any railing of Yeater. But if the accusations persist, he may be forced to provide proof, rather than “ignoring the rumors.” His attorneys may also quietly, privately agree to a test without the court’s involvement.

Yeater’s attorneys say they have “credible evidence” to prove Justin knocked her up and are seeking a “modest and rightful” settlement. Of course, they haven’t said much at all since reports surfaced that she first accused her ex of paternity.

Seriously. Those fools are radio silent now. Makes you think.

Sister Wives star Kody Brown and fourth wife Robyn welcomed their first child together – and his polygamist family’s 17th overall – to the family on Wednesday.

Solomon Brown was born at 2:02 a.m. on Wednesday in the family’s home in Las Vegas, Nevada, and he weighed in 9 lbs., 10.5 oz., with a length of 22 inches.

He and Robyn are both resting comfortably.

Congrats to Kody Brown and the whole family! Robyn’s the one in the middle!

Proud papa Kody said, “He’s perfect and we couldn’t be happier.”

His controversial family is documented on TLC’s Sister Wives, on which Meri, Janelle and Christine welcomed Robyn to the extended family last year.

The family recently left Utah and are struggling with the vast array of changes in their lives, separated in four houses in more-accepting Nevada.

Robyn’s pregnancy was the focal point of the third season premiere of the reality show. We anxiously await Solomon’s debut on a future episode.

Fantasia Barrino refuses to sit around and let rumors about herself spread. Well, most rumors, that is.

The singer called in to The Wendy Williams Show today because that host had referenced the recent flap over Fantasia’s role in a Mahalia Jackson biopic, with producers allegedly angry over her pregnancy and thinking about replacing her as the lead.

Barrino said this is the first she’s heard of such an issue… but also that she’s never signed any kind of contract to actually appear in the film. Fantasia also reveals the gender of her baby and her due date.

The most annoying celebrity on the planet is late, folks. For her next red carpet appearance? No.

“She was supposed to get her period and didn’t,” a source close to Kim Kardashian (VERY close to Kim Kardashian, apparently) tells OK! Weekly.

Of course, nowhere on this cover does it actually say Kim is pregnant, just that it’s “baby time,” a child is “on the way” and that the reality star is “showing already.” If Kardashian were actually knocked up, the Internet would have exploded hours ago.

“Kim always thought she’d have several kids by age 30, so in her mind she’s behind schedule,” an insider tells the tabloid. “Kim’s been going through all the K names. She even has a baby-name book and looks up the meaning of each one.”

Considering the family into which this kid will be born, permit us a suggestion: klusterfuck. Kim, you can call us for the meaning of that one.

Jason Bateman and his wife, Amanda Anka, are about to become parents. Again! She’s pregnant with their second child, according to her dad.

“I’m going to be a grandfather again,” Amanda’s father, singer Paul Anka, dished to ET Canada in an interview that aired on Wednesday night.

Congratulations to Jason and Amanda!

What will it be for the couple, parents to 4½-year-old daughter Francesca Nora? It will be “another baby girl,” proud grandpa Paul reveals. Aww.

Married to Amanda for 10 years, Bateman is “the actor in the family,” adds Anka. “He’s … a very smart boy, a wonderful guy for my daughter.”

When he’s not raising Francensca, that smart boy can currently be seen in theaters in both The Change-Up and Horrible Bosses.

Doug Lamborn is really sorry. When he referred to President Barack Obama’s economic policy as a “tar baby” this week, he meant to use the word “quagmire.” Hey, we’ve all been there, right?

In a radio show interview over the weekend, the Colorado Congressman said:

“Even if some people say, ‘Well the Republicans should have done this or they should have done that,’ they will hold the President responsible. Now, I don’t even want to have to be associated with him. It’s like touching a tar baby and you get it, you’re stuck, and you’re a part of the problem now and you can’t get away.”

Lamborn has since sent a letter of apology to the President and his office released the following statement:

The congressman was “attempting to tell a radio audience last week that the president’s policies have created an economic quagmire for the nation and are responsible for the dismal economic conditions our country faces. He regrets that he chose the phrase ‘tar baby,’ rather than the word ‘quagmire.’

The politician told The Denver Post:

“I absolutely intended no offense, and if this is at all on his radar screen, I am sure that he will not take offense and he’ll be happy to accept my apology because he is a man of character.”

Seriously, who even has the term “tar baby” in his vernacular these days?!?
