While Demi Moore works to overcome her recent personal problems, we have an update on her professional life:

Sarah Jessica Parker has signed on to replace Moore as Gloria Steinem in Lovelace, the upcoming biopic centered around the life of 1970s porn star Linda Lovelace. Demi dropped out of the film almost immediately after being hospitalized earlier this week.

Parker joins a cast that includes Amanda Seyfried in the title role, along Peter Sarsgaard, Adam Brody, Juno Temple and Wes Bentley.

Moore, meanwhile, is out of the hospital. Her next move is unknown, but the 911 call placed on her behalf was released to the public today.

With Demi Moore out of Sherman Oaks Hospital in Los Angeles, more information on what exactly landed her there in the first place may come out tomorrow.

The 911 call placed on behalf of the actress this week will be made available on Friday, but with a major catch: following a review by the  Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, numerous references from the call will be redacted because they refer to medical conditions and could violate privacy laws.

All we know at the moment is that a witness described Moore as appearing to suffer a “seizure” on Tuesday night and she was therefore transported to the hospital to seek “professional assistance.”

The most reliable information so far states that Moore actually inhaled a dangerous amount of nitrous oxide, leading to an adverse reaction and a panicked call from a friend. What was the actress doing with a substance typically reserved for teenagers in their parents’ basement?

We might never know the answer to that question.

But here is some encouraging news: there’s something you can do about it.

Demi Lovato is one of a number of celebrities (Kristen Bell, Julianne Hough) taking part in the Teen for Jeans campaign, which asks people to drop off used jeans at their local Aeropostale to be donated to shelters in your community.

In exchange, the school that donates the most pairs will receive $ 5,000 and Aeropostale pants for every single student! Seems like a no-brainer, doesn’t it?

The folks at Disney forced Demi Lovato out of the Christmas spirit last night.

The former star of Sonny With a Chance – who left that series earlier this year to battle personal problems that included an eating disorder – took MAJOR exception to a joke on the Disney Channel show Shake It Up this week, as a character quipped:

“I could just eat you up, well if I ate.”

The line promoted the following Tweets from Lovato:

I find it really funny how a company can lose one of their actress’ from the pressures of an EATING DISORDER and yet still make joke about that very disease…

And is it just me or are the actress’ [on Disney Channel] getting THINNER AND THINNER…. I miss the days of RAVEN, and LIZZIE MCGUIRE…

Dear Disney Channel, EATING DISORDERS ARE NOT SOMETHING TO JOKE ABOUT.

The network, meanwhile, has actually responded and agreed with Lovato, releasing the following statement:

“We hear you & are pulling both episodes as quickly as possible & reevaluating them … It’s NEVER our intention to make light of eating disorders!”

Way to go, Demi! And happy holidays! Go stuff your face. You’ve earned it.

Ashton Kutcher reportedly has a lot more in common with Charlie Sheen than one line on the actors’ resumes.

Like the star who preceded him on Two and a Half Men, a source tells Radar Online that Kutcher was into threesomes and often shared sexual partners with soon-to-be-ex wife Demi Moore.

“Demi liked women and Ashton would bring another woman into their relationship for flings, but they both agreed to it,” this insider claims.

So, why did Kutcher’s alleged affair with Sara Leal lead to this couple splitting after six years of marriage? It was the way Ashton handled the rendezvous, apparently.

“As long as she knew about it, she was fine,” the mole said.  “It was the sneaky ones when he got caught that infuriated Demi.”

They tried. They really did.

But Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher simply could not move past the latter’s wandering private parts, as the actress announced this afternoon that she is filing for divorce.

Moore did not specifically cite Kutcher’s alleged affair with a 22-year old named Sara Leal – or the fact that he was also accused of stepping out on his wife in 2010 – but one scarcely needs to read between the lines of her statement to understand the basis for this split. Demi wrote:

“It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton.

“As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life. This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation.”

Responded Kutcher, in a Tweet we assume was approved by his editorial team: “I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail.”

In Touch Weekly did not get the memo: This is Kim Kardashian divorce week among supermarket tabloids.

But the publication had an alleged bombshell of its own to run in place of anonymous quotes about the end of Kim’s marriage: Demi Moore cheated on Ashton Kutcher with 27-year old actor Ben Hollingsworth.

Insiders tell the magazine that Moore met Hollingsworth soon after he relocated from Canada to Los Angeles. She proceeded to introduce him around, eventually helping him land a role in The Beautiful Life, a very short-lived series on The CW produced by… Kutcher!

“They smoked a lot of weed,” a source randomly says about Hollingsworth’s days partying with friends at Demi and Ashton’s house.

One night, Moore supposedly gave her younger pal a ride home – and then have him a ride of another kind!

“They wound up having sex in the back of the car,” claims this mole. “It just kept going from there… [Ben] said she was really hot and she took care of him.”

But Hollingsworth reportedly ended the fling because he felt guilty about betraying Kutcher, who had grown into a good friend. No word on exactly when this dalliance took place, but Ashton has been the one in the cheating spotlight recently, following a naked romp in San Diego with Sara Leal.

A member of the paparazzi is making life even more difficult for Demi Moore these days.

Yesterday, following an appointment at a salon in West Hollywood, the actress was approached by a man with a camera. He alleges that Moore screamed obscenities at him and shoved him on the way to her car.

You can sort of judge the incident for yourself based on this photo.

This loser of a journalist has now filed battery charges against Moore, TMZ reports, although he has no visible injuries.

Still, the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Department has been handed the complaint and open an investigation. Somehow, we blame Ashton Kutcher for this, too.
