Beyonce gave birth to a beautiful baby girl yesterday.
Seriously, it happened. This isn’t just a Twitter rumor.
Ivy Blue Carter was born in New York City via c-section.
Proud dad Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, was at the hospital where Beyonce gave birth to Ivy. Shortly thereafter, congratulations came pouring in.
Rihanna Tweeted, “Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih.” Russell Simmons wrote simply, “Congrats to my good friends Beyonce and Jay-Z.”
Beyonce famously announced her pregnancy on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards back in August, and since then, fan anticipation for the baby has grown by the day.
SO much so that Twitter even tried to name the baby girl Tiana May Carter last month. We think they picked out a nicer name themselves in Ivy Blue. Agree?
NOTE: Conflicting reports, including from MSNBC and E!, say the name is actually Blue Ivy Carter. The couple’s going to have to clear this up at some point!
Either way, congratulations to the happy family!!

It’s that time of the year again, when adorable little girls show up at your front door with a smile, puppy dog eyes – and a clipboard.
They’ll ask what kind of Girl Scout Cookies you want to purchase and, let’s face it, there’s simply no way you can turn them down. The only question: What kind and how any?
Now there’s a new option. In honor of the organization’s 100th year in existence, the Girl Scouts have come out with Savannah Smiles, named after the birthplace of founder Juliette Gordon Low.
“Celebrate the anniversary of the Girl Scouts with these bite-sized, lemon-wedge cookies dusted in powdered sugar and bursting with lemon flavor,” the group said today in a statement. “Enjoy these delightful treats, remember where Girl Scouts began … and smile.”
Might Savannah Smiles take their place in the pantheon of snack foods? Perhaps. But they need to get in line at the moment. You tell us:

Beyonce Knowles announced she was expecting with husband Jay-Z at the MTV Video Music Awards in August. Then then re-confirmed that the pregnancy is not fake.
She’s remain mum on the child’s gender, however … but Kelly Rowland may have just spilled the beans. At an awards show Thursday night, she referred to it as a girl.
The former Destiny’s Child singer said: “I have no idea what I’m going to buy Beyonce at the baby shower because Jay is going to buy that little girl every single thing possible.”
Beyonce confirmed the pregnancy just before her VMA performance:
The mini Sasha Fierce, regardless of whether she is indeed a she, is due in February, and will be the couple’s first child. He/she will have some talented genes.
“I feel like it is time,” the singer said of her pregnancy. “I’m so happy.”

Pop icon Britney Spears is making headlines all over the world for her recent songs, music videos and Femme Fatale tour, but not all of them are positive.
Her trademark scandalous, skimpy costumes have earned harsh criticism from some, while her devoted fans continue to flock to the singer’s every show.
One thing’s for sure: This is not the Britney Spears of old.
The pop icon kicked off the UK leg of her tour in London Thursday night, showing off her ample, womanly curves in sexy bras, panties, leotards, etc.
The 29-year-old chanteuse, whose weight has fluctuated in recent years, is not shy about flaunting a slightly healthier midsection and … other attributes.
But is she phoning it in these days? The Daily Mail reported that Britney’s ticket sales have been sluggish and that her lip synced performance at the O2 arena “lacked soul” and that there was “no real interaction between the singer and her fans.”

Alyssa Milano is a proud new mother.
The actress and husband David Bugliari welcomed a son named Milo Thomas Bugliari yesterday at 9:27 a.m. He weighed 7 lbs., and measured 19 inches long.
Milano and Bugliari, a Hollywood agent, got married. in 2009. This is their first child.

She was cast on Wonder Woman, but that never saw the light of a TV screen.
Now, though, Elizabeth Hurley has signed on for a role that has the television world buzzing: Gossip Girl producers Stephanie Savage and Joshua Safran, tell TV Line that the British actress will play a character named Diana Payne. Look for her to appear on multiple season five episodes as a media mogul of some kind.
Sources say Elizabeth Hurley’s presence will “change the lives” of all individuals on the show… including Gossip Girl herself!

It seems like Emma Watson can do no wrong these days. Her look at the MTV Movie Awards last weekend was one of our favorites, and now she’ll be appearing on the July cover of Vogue!
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, Watson seems like one of the most intelligent and genuinely humble young celebrities out there. This past December, Emma rocked her androgynous ‘do in a cream Valentino frock on the cover of Vogue UK. Fashionista reports that for her American Vogue cover, she’ll be wearing Prada — as excited as we are, let’s just hope that we get to see her in something other than a white dress. If history and Prada are any indicators though, we can expect great things from next month’s issue.
