Miley Cyrus is firing back at critics alleging she has an eating disorder after a recent Twitter pic sparked a great deal of speculation to that effect.

Rumors that the 19-year-old might be anorexic were spawned after posting a photo of her and a bag from fast food chain restaurant Carl’s Jr.

In a caption, she Tweeted, “I can’t eat it. So I’m just gonna smell the s**t out of it! My mouth is LITERALLY watering.” This was the photo:

Recent Miley Cyrus pictures do show the star looking thinner than in the past, so it wasn’t totally off base, but she’s not starving herself, dudes. Chillax.

Miley, no stranger to Twitter-induced controversy, was APPALLED that people would DARE interpret it that way and HAD to clarify matters … on Twitter.

“For everyone calling me anorexic I have a gluten and lactose allergy,” she wrote. “It’s not about weight it’s about health. Gluten is crapppp anyway!”

She then Tweeted at sister Noah Cyrus: “U saw how much I ate today at Easter but all of it was healthy and even more fulfilling! Health is happiness!”

There you go, people. Miles has cleared the air. No need to pay attention to every little thing she does, because she would obviously hate that. We clear?

Undeterred by her legal woes and recent mediocre performance on Saturday Night Live, Glee has been diagnosed with a serious case of … LINDSANITY!

Sorry. Some things just never get old.

The hit Fox series is in final negotiations with Lindsay Lohan to guest star this spring in one of the current season’s final episodes, according to reports.

She’ll be taking on a key role … herself!

Once source material for the show – her mom chastised Glee and Gwyneth Paltrow for cracking jokes at her expense – LiLo will serve as a celebrity judge at Nationals.

No word yet as to who will join Lohan on the panel, although we would recommend Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Kim Kardashian, with the latter getting flour-bombed.

The Glee gig will mark another step in Lindsay’s comeback, which began with a Playboy spread of all things. Her last scripted TV gig was a 2008 arc (!) on Ugly Betty.

She’s also in talks to play acting legend Elizabeth Taylor in a Lifetime biopic. As for Glee, producers also recently landed Whoopi Goldberg as a big-name guest star.

After speaking to her PR team and being told what to do thinking about the act of violence perpetrated against her on a Los Angeles red carpet last week, Kim Kardashian has decided to press charges against the woman who threw flour all over her.

She will reportedly contact law enforcement officials over the next few days and take the appropriate steps.

In response to this decision, PETA has gone on the attack against Kardashian. That lame organization denies involvement in the act, but has released a statement that reads:

If she presses charges, at least people will be constantly reminded of her selfish, callous disregard for the cruel deaths that she causes by wearing fur.

How much better it would be if she decided to evolve and enhance her image by donating her vulgar furs and exotic-animal skins to the homeless. The activist acted from the heart, something Kim doesn’t seem to have. If anything, Kim should get a life, the very thing that she denies animals.

Gary Carter, an 11-time All-Star who will forever be associated with the 1986 World Champion New York Mets, has passed away from brain cancer. He was 57.

The former baseball legend was diagnosed with an aggressive tumor last year and lost his battle with the illness about two hours ago. His daughter confirmed the news in the following statement:

“I am deeply saddened to tell you all that my precious dad went to be with Jesus today at 4:10 p.m. This is the most difficult thing I have ever had to write in my entire life but I wanted you all to know.”

Carter, who also played for the Montreal Expos, was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2003. He is survived by his wife, three children and three grandchildren.

Will Chaz Bono die young because he became a man?

That’s the implication of a story in the National Enquirer. One that has him threatening to sue, claiming the article is a “smear campaign” and “blatantly false.”

The “story” is plastered right on cover of the November 11 issue with a headline that screams, “Chaz Bono: ONLY 4 YEARS TO LIVE.” Pretty overt, and awful.

The article cites “expert” opinions about Chaz’s weight, stress and medication linked with gender reassignment, concluding he’ll likely kick it by 2015.

The Dancing With the Stars cast member, understandably, is royally pissed, and has fired off a letter demanding a retraction and apology for this ASAP.

In the letter, Chaz’s lawyer calls the story, “blatantly false and defamatory,” not to mention “salacious and inflammatory,” and “crafted for the malicious purpose of discriminating against our client’s gender and sexual orientation.”

Enraged over the “misleading and blatantly false” medical “opinions,” his lawyer says if the tabloid does not retract the story pronto, Chaz Bono will sue.

Dr. Conrad Murray’s defense received yet another blow Monday when his most important witness was held in contempt of court and fined $ 1,000.

Charged with involuntary manslaughter in the June 2009 death of Michael Jackson, Murray sought the help of Dr. Paul White, an expert in anesthesia.

White repeatedly violated court orders to by testifying about his private conversations with Murray, however, and the judge came down on him hard.

“Quite frankly, this constitutes direct contempt of court,” Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael E. Pastor told White, the defense team’s final witness.

White told the jury he believes that Jackson took extra doses of two drugs, including the powerful anesthetic Propofol, while Murray’s back was turned.

White suggested on Monday that while he thinks Michael Jackson killed himself, it wasn’t a suicide attempt and MJ didn’t know the “potential danger.”

Monday marked the second time Pastor held White in contempt – the first was October 21, when White called a member of the prosecution a vulgarity.

Yesterday’s sanction was ordered after an intense exchange between White and D.A. David Walgren, who grilled him about Murray’s medical decisions.

He conceded that Murray’s treatment of Michael Jackson deviated from standards of care, many of which are delineated in articles and books by White.

White conceded that it was unheard of for Murray to administer Propofol in a home setting, that Dr. Murray lacked sufficient monitoring equipment.

He was also forced to admit that Murray failed to write notes about his treatment of the pop singer, and that Murray should have called 911 sooner.

But White refused to call these “egregious” errors … despite prosecution witnesses rattling off 17 ways in which his care likely led to MJ’s passing.

When Walgren asked if it was true that Murray supplied Propofol, White countered that he understood that MJ procured his own Propofol stash as well.

He also said that he believed Jackson could have injected Propofol from a partially-filled syringe that Murray may have left in Jackson’s bedroom.

Pastor then sent the jury outside and complained that White was basing that on private conversations with Murray, rather than his statements to police.

Later in the day, White testified that he had additional information to share with the jury but the judge told him he couldn’t, holding him in contempt.

Closing arguments are expected to take place this week. It’s not looking good for the doc, who faces up to four years in prison if he’s convicted.

Hailey Glassman, former girlfriend of Jon Gosselin, will be starring on the new season CMT’s reality dating show Sweet Home Alabama. Yes, really.

Glassman, will be one of 22 female suitors vying for the heart of Tribble Reese, the runner up from the show’s first season. What a resume she has!

“I was never a homewrecker; everything that the media has portrayed me as is false, from the littlest to the biggest things,” she tells the NY Post.

“I’ve been constantly judged in rag mags and tabloids. I’m a very kind, sweet, nice girl,” says the former Jon Gosselin plaything (below, right).

The girls will be split into two groups, “city” and “country” (there is no “home wrecker” set) and were both aware of Glassman’s reputation coming into this.

“Going into this house I figured the city girls would know. Never did I think these girls from the deep south would know who I was,” says the 24-year-old.

“I had no idea I would be verbally attacked at first.”

Hailey Glassman came into the house wanting to clear her name, but the whole concept of the show – and Reese – led her down an entirely different road.

“Ever since [the Gosselin incident] happened I have been tortured, and my name has been scarred from that. I came into the house wanting to clear the air.”

“I figured it would be a great experience … but if you think it’s hard to win over one guy’s heart, let me tell you, it’s a whole lot harder to win over 22 girls!”

Ultimately, Glassman says that she only shed her image within the house, but she also taught the others in there what she considers a valuable lesson.

“There was so much more going on in the house. There’s a lot that goes on in this show that people will learn. The girls learned so much, they learned not to judge someone by what you read about them,” Glassman says.

As for the viewers, Glassman seems excited they would get to see “the real Hailey,” not the one everyone remembers as Jon’s 2009 booty call.

“This is who I am. In my head, two years ago the Kardashians weren’t married or had any kids, now you get to see the new Hailey Glassman, not the tabloid Hailey Glassman,” she says, aiming awfully high, even for a delusional d-lister.

Yes, this is like a real acting role.

Tells you a lot about 90210, but hey, good for him. Guadagnino will reportedly play a “celebrity” involved in a high-stakes poker game with Liam (Matt Lanter).

Look for Vinny to appear during November sweeps. You know, when shows bring out the really big guns in an attempt to pull in ratings and big ad money.

Andy Whitfield, the British actor who starred on the first season of Spartacus: Blood and Sand, has passed away from non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He was 37.

Whitfield was diagnosed with treatable Stage 1 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in March of 2010, but determined to be cancer-free two months later.

However, Starz announced in September of that year that Whitfield would not be return for the show’s second season because he had to undergo “aggressive treatment” for a recurrence of the disease. Australian actor Liam McIntyre was named Whitfield’s successor.

In a statement released to the Associated Press, it was announced that a “beautiful young warrior,” passed away on a “sunny Sydney morning” in the “arms of his loving wife.” Our thoughts go out to his family and loved ones.

Chelsea Settles is not small, but MTV hopes she’ll be a big hit.

The network’s new reality TV starlet is coming to Tinseltown in pursuit of a career in the fashion industry. She’s pretty much the anti-Lauren Conrad.

She weighs 324 lbs., which people remind her of constantly, but make no mistake, the 23-year-old is not about to let it stand in the way of a dream.

As she ditches her small town roots for life in the City of Angels, all while struggling to lose weight, Settles’ career pursuits meet major obstacles.

She’s leaving behind a boyfriend who isn’t always supportive, a mom struggling with severe diabetes, and battling her size every step of the way.

The new star will have “an opportunity to expand her social life by confronting the social phobias that have been holding her back,” MTV explains.

Unlike most reality shows (cough, any Real Housewives), this features a genuinely likable star, one MTV hopes will be “a new kind of heroine.”
