Movie goers may have gotten Footloose (Footloose!) this weekend, but they also packed theaters again to watch Hugh Jackman and a handful of robots do battle inside the squared circle.
Indeed, Real Steel repeated as box office champion.
A horror movie, political thriller and kids’ flick rounded out the top five, as the top 10 box office results from the weekend is listed here:
- Real Steel – $ 16.3 mil
- Footloose – $ 16.1 mil
- The Thing – $ 8.7 mil
- The Ides of March – $ 7.5 mil
- Dolphin Tale – $ 6.3 mil
- Moneyball – $ 5.5 mil
- 50/50 – $ 4.3 mil
- Courageous – $ 3.4 mi
- The Big Year – $ 3.3 mil

Hugh Jackman and a robot named Atom knocked the competition down to the canvas this weekend, as Real Steel opened huge at the box office.
The action film, which garnered great reviews across the board, brought in $ 27.3 million domestically on Friday and Saturday.
George Clooney and Ryan Gosling finished a distant second in their first weekend together, as The Ides of March tallied just over $ 10 million. Here’s a look at the latest Hollywood box office results:
